In 1974, Farrell's commissioned a promotional video. This video, entitled "Atmosphere", promoted the wholesomeness and family-orientation of Farrell's. Bob Farrell told me that he showed this video at a shopping center convention in 1975 and got 35 malls to commit to leasing space for new Farrell's. The first video has a birthday announcement (pardon the narration), and the other has an old fashioned Zoo announcement and associated fanfare. Both scenes were filmed at the Farrell's in Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois. These video clips are sizeable (~1.8MB each), so they are best viewed over a broadband connection. |
